STORY
The Tufekciyef bomb took its name from the bomb manufacturer Resneli Naum Tufekciyef. The wick on the bomb had the function of a match, and when it is rubbed the end of the wick into the match, it fired the bomb. This is how the bomb became ready for use. Photos taken during the battles of Dardanelles show matches on the chest in a soldier’s uniform.
