The Battle of Dardanelles, which is one of the most critical battles of the World War I, also changed the process of the war. For this reason; this war, one of the most important wars in the history of the world, which began on February 19, 1915, continued until January 9, 1916. The war that took place on the Gallipoli Peninsula was fought between the Ottoman Empire and the Entente Powers. After Ottoman Sultan Mehmed Resad V made the decision to participate in this war, he gave a speech to explain to the Ottoman soldiers and people the reasons for making the decision to fight and to provide motivation for them to participate in the war and a printed copy of this speech has been distributed throughout the country. In addition, the message of Enver Pasha was added to this copy with the same goal as the commander of the Ottoman army. On the back of the declaration of war, there were the answered questions from the Mustafa Hayri Efendi from Urgup, the shaykh al-islam of that period, about the situation of this war, the religious feelings of the people and the fact that it was a legitimate war and the call for jihad was a religious duty (necessary) for every Muslim. Thus, they made a propaganda movement from three fronts (political-religious power, military authority and religious legitimacy) to show the war legitimate and inevitable in the presence of the people and soldiers of the Ottoman State who will enter the war and invite the Ottoman subjects who can use weapons to participate in the war.
