It is unexploded ordnance. Distortions and deformations have occurred. There is rustiness and cracks in the hive mouth. There are two bullets in our museum.
STORY
The rifle bullet widely used by the French army during World War I is the 8x50mm R Lebel bullet. This bullet was designed by a French military officer and engineer, Nicolas Lebel, in 1886 and was used in the French Lebel Model 1886 rifle.
The Lebel rifle and the 8x50mm R Lebel bullet had a design that was ahead of its time and advanced technological features compared to other rifles and ammunition of the era. Also, by the French army, it was widely used in World War I and became the main rifle and ammunition of French soldiers.
